Was Kendrix' Death Done in Poor Taste?

Hello, hello.

So earlier today I was on Instagram and saw of clip of when Kendrix died and became Casper the Friendly Ghost on Lost Galaxy.  And when I saw it, I had a thought that I never had before: Was killing Kendrix the right thing to do?

Now from a writing standpoint, killing Kendrix was brilliant.  Bringing in Karone as her replacement was brilliant (and that episode is my favorite episode in ALL of Power Rangers).  However, once you start thinking about the reason the writers killed Kendrix off in the first place, it gets weird.  Kendrix' actor, Valerie Vernon was diagnosed with cancer at that time and had to leave the show for health purposes.  Thankfully, she was able to kick cancer's ass, but she still had to leave the show.

So imagine being told that you have cancer.  Then telling your bosses that you have cancer and cannot continue working.  And then your bosses tell you they are going to kill you off on the show to explain why your character will be gone.  Now maybe the director/writers told Valerie that they were always going to bring her back at the end, I don't know.  But they still had this woman act out dying on the show and being a ghost.

She had cancer at the time guys.  Most likely, she was already thinking about her mortality and then you make her die and play a ghost.  If I were an actor diagnosed with cancer, I could not see myself acting out anything that had to do with my own death.  I'm diagnosed with cancer, I don't want to die, and now I'm being forced to pretend I'm dying on screen?  Good Lord...

Do you think that the writers were being insensitive to Valerie by killing off her character?  Prior to that moment, NO Power Ranger had ever died on the show.  There are plenty of ways they could have written the character of Kendrix off the show without resorting to death.  But the writers chose to have the Grim Reaper visit the pink ranger anyway.

I don't know how Valerie Vernon felt about it, and I certainly do not speak for her.  I have never seen any interviews with her, so I don't know if she's discussed this topic before.  This is just a thought that came in my head today that I never thought about before.

Well, whether it was insensitive or not, Kendrix' death made for some good television and the actor pulled through in the end, so... yay?

How Dino Super Charge Could Have Been Better (For Me)

This was original going to be a video, but I have been sick for almost a week now and my Spring Semester will begin tomorrow; thus, I no longer have time for recording and editing.

Anywho, let's talk about Dino Super Charge.  DSC is a season that should have been great. A season that I should have loved, but because of silly decision after silly decision from the show's writers, I ended up being incredibly disappointed with it.  Womp womp.

So this post is going to be me listing out what I would have preferred Dino Super Charge to have done with its storyline and characters.  Ok?  Cool.  Let's begin.

1.  Heckyl Never Losing His Badassery

Heckyl had so much potential.  He could have been one of the greatest Power Ranger villains.  The first three episodes of DSC showed how dangerous and competent he could be.  However, the moment that the rangers found out that Heckyl was evil, his character went downhill from there.  He soon became a run-of-the-mill PR villain and then the writers decided that Heckyl wasn't really evil. Oh no, he was just being influenced by Snide's evil. Ugh!

I would have preferred for the show to keep Heckyl's ruse going a little longer.  And when the rangers do find out that Heckyl is a dastardly fiend, the rangers end up suffering a loss.

Example: the rangers discover that Heckyl is evil but it doesn't matter because Heckyl has planted bombs in the rangers' base, and our colorful teenagers could not stop Heckyl from detonating their strategic command center.

That would be cool.  Heckyl destroying the ranger base in an episode that is not the finale.  Miss Morgan and the core six rangers worry about what to do next, but then they remember that the Graphite Ranger is a prince and could finance a brand spankin' new command center that is much better than a cave.  Would have loved for this to have happened.  Heckyl would come off as a boss and the prince would actually have something to do. Win, win!

Also, I would change Heckyl's backstory as well.  I want Heckyl to be evil because he is evil.  None of this Snide-rubbing-off-on-him crap.  I also would have liked for Heckyl and Snide to have been partners in crime 65 million years ago.  It could have been that back in the day, Heckyl and Snide were after the Dark Energem; but because they didn't know how to use its power, the dark energem cursed them into one body.  If we must have Heckyl turn good, then have his turn be due to Miss Morgan.  Heckyl stated a few times that he found Miss Morgan to be attractive.  The writers should have had Heckyl develop feelings for our favorite purple lady while he was pretending to be good and working at the dino museum.  I could have gotten behind his love (or lust) for Miss Morgan turning him good.  I'm still surprised that the writers DIDN'T do this.

2.  Eleven Rangers Instead of Ten

Ok, normally I only prefer even numbers.  But when you have an extra ranger suit that you could use, use it!  Especially when you introduce another energem into the story.

So let me get this straight.  The 10 "good" energems can all turn people into power rangers, but the "dark" energem can't?  That's so lame.  Heckyl clearly should have became a power ranger after he and Snide were separated.  He could have been an evil ranger for a bit and then turned good.  OR, he could have bonded to the dark energem in the finale and fought as a good ranger then.  I don't care how you use the extra ranger, just use it.  Never can have enough Power Brats!

3.  No Time Travel Shenanigans!

This shit has to go.  It made no fucking sense and ruined the DSC finale.  You want a conclusion for the dark energem, here is what you do.  Have the rangers use the power of their 10 good energems to "purify" the dark energem so that it becomes good as well.  In purifying the dark energem, the evil energy that once resided within it leaves and bonds to the most evil person in the galaxy: Sledge!  The evil energy makes Sledge more powerful than evah!!

To face Super Evil Sledge, the rangers have Heckyl bond to the formerly dark energem and all 11 rangers defeat Sledge and his minions in a glorious battle.

Eh, it's a simple plot, but it's a hell of a lot better than what we got...

4.  Keeper's Backstory Explained

I cannot believe that keeper didn't get an episode to explain how he and Miss Morgan met.  This is something I was so sure would be told to us.  I NEVER thought the show would tell us how the zords came to be, but we actually got an explanation for that.  An explanation I actually liked too.

But back to Keeper.  The show could have just told us that Keeper started living with Miss Morgan's ancestors thousands of years ago and has since become a member of the family that just won't die.  I would have accepted that.  But we didn't get anything.  No explanation for how he became the "keeper" of the energems.  No explanation for why it took him 65 million years to find the energems on Earth (seriously, he's just as incompetent as Fury).  We got nothing.

5.  Tyler's Daddy Not Being a Deadbeat

The conclusion to this story arc was the first thing that made me realized that DSC wasn't gonna be shit.  I hated the explanation for why Tyler's dad was missing for 10 years.  So James bonded to the aqua energem 10 years ago and was immediately stalked and harassed by Fury.  Because Fury can "smell the energems."  Bull.  Anyway, James said that because Fury kept showing up wherever he was, he abandoned his son because he didn't want to put Tyler's life in danger.

Now on the surface, Jame's rationale is sound.  But when you start to examine it, the logic falls apart.  First, this is the Power Ranger universe.  If you were having an issue with a monster, maybe you should have sought out the help of a ranger team James!  Admittedly there weren't many active ranger teams in 2005, but the Mystic Force and Overdrive rangers popped up a year or two after that.  Ask for help fool!

After the time travel nonsense that occurred in the DSC finale, I'm not so sure that this season even exists in the main PR universe.  But even if it doesn't and the Dino Charge rangers are the only rangers, this is still stupid.  Fury was shown to be one of the dumbest villains I had ever seen.  Fury was not chasing you for 10 years straight.  He. Was. Not.  Fury lost the gold energem even though the thing was right next to him, and he still couldn't find it even though it had become one of the most important symbols to the Kingdom of Zandar.

Nowhere in season one of Dino Charge did we see Fury chasing after James or telling Sledge that James has an energem and that they should all find and capture him.  None of that shit happened.  What happened is that Fury gave up on James a long time ago, and James used Fury as an excuse to abandon his duties as a parent to live with his gay lover.

Now, this is how I would have told this story.  James finds and bonds to the aqua energem.  Fury shows up.  James and Fury fight on top of a cliff, a big explosion happens, and when the smoke clears, James is gone and Fury is by himself, pissed.

The explosion knocked James off the cliff and into the water below.  He washed up ashore unconscious and unmorphed and was cared for by a nice lady.  When James came to, he had no memory of who he was other than his name.  He began to build a new life for himself with the nice lady and her infant son.  10 years later, the rangers eventually find James and James regains his memory.  James and Tyler are father and son again, and Tyler also gains new family members.

Again, this is a simple plot.  But it is a hell of a lot better than what we got...

6.  Cut (Some of) the Filler

Finally, get rid of all that damn filler.  My goodness!  That "Besties 4Eva" episode did not need to exist.  Same for that episode with the magic makeup.

The episode "Catching Some Rays" can stay though, ONLY because of Sir Ivan.  Sir Ivan was brilliant in that episode.  The part where he fought Fury while under the "fun spell" was one of best things the Saban Brands Era has given us.  Power Rangers was blessed to have Davi Santos.

Now to be fair, I don't want all the filler to go.  Some of it was fun (like Home Run Koda).  But DSC took filler way too far.  There was so much story opportunity that was wasted because of filler.

Also, the writers wrote these weird episodes that felt like they took a script for a story driven ep and a script for a filler ep and combined the two to create some unholy union.  "Oh no, we need to save the silver ranger.  But first, we gotta win this singing contest!"  What?  Either the episode is going to be about one thing or the other.  Don't pick both.  It just makes things weird.

Sidenote, there was an episode where Lord Arcanon gained the ability to summon and control the rangers' zords... and after that episode, that ability is never brought up again.  So the rangers know that the villains can control their zords, but never do anything about it.  And the villains never try to control them again. WHAT?  If someone reads this post, please tell me I just missed the part where Miss Morgan explains how she built some type of firewall to keep the villains from hacking their zords again.

So there it is.  If the story had been tweaked differently, I would have enjoyed DSC more.  Oh well.  It's over.  On to the next season!

I Quit My Job. Now What?...

After almost three years of working as a court clerk, I decided to step down from my position and quit my job. Why did I do this? So that I can focus on being a full time YouTuber.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

I wish that were the case. But no. I quit because in less than two weeks from now, I will be attending law school. There are many reasons as to why I decided to subject myself to three years of sleepless nights, endless reading assignments and essays, and gorging on ramen noodles for dinner because yo boi is unemployed now.  One, I've always been interested in learning about the law. Two, there are many lucrative career options available for those with a JD. And three, I could help those who have been victims of crime receive justice. However, one reason stands above them all at the moment. That reason being, I want to be able to defend myself against the injustices in the world should I have to. If I am ever illegally pulled over and harassed by corrupt police officers (and survive), I want to know exactly how I can legally bring them to their knees. If a family member or a friend is harmed by corrupt police officers, I want to be able to help them receive justice.

Future photo of me in law school. You know, if I were a bad bitch...

I have to say, I am very nervous about law school. Constantly worried that I won't be able to hack it. That I'm not smart enough. That I quit my job and joined the unemployment club for nothing. You know how long it took me to find work after I graduated college the first time? If you don't, check out my first blog post. That was one depressing ass chapter in my life that I do not wish to repeat. Geez, I haven't even started law school yet, and the devil is already trying to scare me into quitting.

I'm a worrywart. It's what I do. And I've been worrywarting all over the place for a week now. However, I am not backing down from my decision. Oh yes, I am staying the course. I believe that when you take risk in life, it's only natural that you may feel a sense of dread about it. But you can't let that feeling stop you. You have to fight through that shit. I have so many goals I want to achieve in life, and I've let the fear of attempting them stop me for so long.

So many goals. I have stayed stagnant for too many years now and I am tired of that. I want to feel like I have accomplished things in life and right now I don't. When I die, what are people going to say about me? I know what I'd like for them to say. "Here lies ASdeclassified, a successful attorney, an amazing writer, crazy soap opera actor, and one of the best Power Rangers vloggers to EVAH do the damn thing!"

Well if I want the accomplishments, I need to start putting in the work now. No more procrastinating. No more excuses. No more wavering.

Time to conquer Earth.

How Heckyl, Sledge, and Keeper Met

Heckyl is currently the most interesting character in Dino (Super) Charge. Because of this, I have been thinking a lot about what his origin story might be. Now I haven't been trying to figure out the relationship between Heckyl and Snide because the show hasn't given me enough information to go on as of yet. Rather, I have been thinking about the relationship between Heckyl and Sledge. As in, what circumstances led to Sledge meeting and capturing Heckyl. So without further ado, here's my fan theory of how Sledge and Heckyl/Snide crossed paths.

We know from the show that Heckyl used to go around destroying planets and whole galaxies. So perhaps Heckyl appeared on Keeper's home planet one day looking to fuck shit up. The beings on Keeper's world tried their best to deal with Heckyl, but they couldn't, so they decided to enlist the help of a renowned bounty hunter. Yes, Keeper and his people hired Sledge to remove the threat of Heckyl/Snide.

So Sledge came to Keeper's planet and did what he was paid to do: defeat and capture Heckyl. However, while Sledge was on Keeper's home-world, he learned about the powerful Energems. Not being able to resist such incredible power, Sledge then started attacking Keeper's planet himself. In order to protect the Energems, Keeper grabbed them and high-tailed it off of his home-world in his spaceship. Sadly, Sledge was right on Keeper's ass and chased the little creature all the way to Earth. From there, the rest is history.

So there you have it. That is my fan theory of how Heckyl, Sledge, and Keeper all met. Basically, almost everything is Keeper's fault. He invited Sledge to his planet to take care of Heckyl, but didn't run a background check on the guy to make sure he wasn't evil as well. And of course, this all led to the destruction of the dinosaurs. Keeper always makes poor decisions.

Well if anyone reads this, let me know what you think of this theory. Also, tell me if you have any theories about Heckyl/Snide.

Some Life Goals of Mine

Well, 2016 is here. I feel that this year is going to lead to many interesting and fundamental changes in my life. Lately I have been thinking about some of the goals that I want to accomplish before the Grim Reaper pays me a visit.

I thought it would be cool to write a blog post listing out these goals. Then in a few years or so, I'll click back to this post to see if I actually did any of the shit I said I wanted to. I'm going to be depressed as hell if I read this post in five years and I haven't met at least one of these goals. Well, anyway, let's get this list going.

1. Go to Law School

This has been one of my main goals in life since I was in middle school. Learning about the law and legal proceedings has always been fascinating to me. I have worked as a court clerk for over two years now just so I could see first hand how the court system operates. However, I am a bit apprehensive about going. Mostly because of finances. This shit will not be cheap. I'm trying to look at law school as an investment for my future, but right now all I can see is the strain it's going to put on me while I am trying to reach said future.

And yet, every time I hear about another unarmed black person being killed, the resulting rage I feel makes me want to pursue a career in law. I mainly want to be an attorney so that I can help fight against civil and criminal injustice. I want to study the law, change the law, and create law that leads to the betterment of all people. Especially minorities. Black. Lives. Matter.

2. Write a Book. Or Several Books. Just Write Something

I love to write. Well I say I do, but I engage in the craft so sporadically that I don't even think people believe me anymore. Sometimes I don't even believe myself. But I swear I do. I just suck at time management. I have been working on the same 2-3 stories on and off since 2007 and have not finished a single one. Last year, I decided to create a "short story". Usually my story ideas are these long "epics" that, if adapted into a TV show, could be made into 20 seasons. Like Naruto, or the Young and the Restless.

I figured that if I make the story short, I would actually have a shot at finishing it. Ha! I haven't worked on the thing in months. Well, it's time to change that. I want to have my "short story" completed by this year. No more fucking around, let's dew dis!

3. Be a Soap Actor

And now we have reached the more outlandish goals I have for myself. I grew up watching quite a few soap operas thanks to my mother. I love melodrama. I dream of the day that I can be on a soap and act a damn fool on the TV screen 5 days a week. "Yeah I fucked yo bitch, whooped yo ass, stole yo company, and if you continue to cross me, I'll end you." I want to be the badass character that everyone loves to hate. "Yes I'm evil, but there are reasons why. Cry for me!" I have no clue on how I can accomplish this goal, but whatever. Never know what the future holds.

4. Be a Successful YouTuber

So I have been playing this YouTube game since 2011. I am very lucky to have the viewers and subscribers I do have. Still, I can't help wishing I was a bigger YouTuber. Or at least making enough money off of my videos to help pay back my student loans. That's all I really want. I don't need to live off of the shit (although that would be nice too).

5. Be Rich

Not an original goal, but it is one that never goes out of style. I don't care how it happens, just let it happen Lord.

So these are some of my goals. Let's see if I can place a check mark next to at least one of them in 5 years.

Julius Explodes! Bold and the Beautiful Episode Review for 8/7/2015

Last Friday's episode of The Bold and the Beautiful was very entertaining. So entertaining that I'm writing a blog post about it.

It's Maya and Ricky Boy's wedding day! And guess who decided to make an appearance. Why Ricky's sister, Ms. Bridgette Forrester! Bridgette is rarely on this show anymore, so this was indeed a surprise. She even told her brother that this was one family occasion that she was not going to miss...

As soon as she said that, I burst out in laughter. The fuck? Let me get this straight. This bitch was too busy to be in attendance at her niece Aly's wake and funeral, but she has all the time in the world to be at her brother's third wedding? This is the more important event to go to? Bridgette, go on with this foolishness.

One of the best parts of this episode was Bill Spencer apologizing to Maya for telling her private business to the whole world. I loved this scene, not because Bill apologized (I never needed him to do that), but because Maya did not make it easy for Bill to apologize. Ms. Avant was busting Bill's balls the entire time he was asking for forgiveness, and it was great. She eventually accepted the apology, but the fact that she stood strong and called Dollar Bill out on all his bullshit made me like her. I have never really been a fan of Maya. The reason why is because she tends to let people (like Bill) treat her like trash and then she runs away without fighting back. Meanwhile, Bill Spencer is one of my favorite characters on the show. So if I'm giving Maya praise for talking crazy to Bill, you know I loved this scene. No more running for Maya.

Now the ending to this episode took the cake baby. If you are reading this post and are not aware, Maya is transgender. Her parents are very conservative and have not been in her life for a long time. Maya and her parents are now trying to mend fences, and they are present for the wedding. While Maya's mother is beginning to accept who Maya is, her father (Julius) still refuses to let go of his bigotry. During the finale scene of the episode, Julius could not hold his true feelings in anymore, and he pretty much erupted on his wife. Julius hates what his "son" has done to "his" body, and he is disgusted that he has to walk his "son" down the aisle and hand Maya off to a man. The conversation Julius was having with is wife was supposed to be private, but this is a soap opera, so you know that private conversations do not exist here. Maya ended up hearing every vicious thing her father said. She was completely crushed. I loved it. The drama was so damn good. Julius is a bastard, but if he was a great guy and completely accepting of his child, then this shit would be boring. Let him be a bigot, just as long as the show expresses that he is in the wrong.

*Side note: Julius wasn't wrong about Rick already having two ex-wives. Maya will be out the door soon. But she will be receiving some good spousal support checks, so chill.*

I am also surprised that Julius is the ONLY one that has an issue with Maya being transgender. All of the Forresters are cool with this? Really? All of these super rich white people are that progressive? It's great that they are, but I'm not sure if it's that realistic. Oh well, I'm patiently waiting for Monday's episode. August 10, 2015, let's go!

Pick Me, Choose Me, Promote Me!

It's a damn shame that my last blog post was in 2014. I have to do better.

Anway, let's get a little personal for a bit. Without getting too specific with the details, I'll say this: a "lead" position at my job has opened up. For the past three weeks, I have been instructed by my supervisor to fill in and be the interim "lead" of that position. So for three weeks, I have been doing all of the extra work that comes with that position, but without the additional pay. Joy.

Just last week, a job posting for the position was issued out internally for all employees to apply. I have applied for the job. Now you would think that I'd be a shoo-in for the position, but with this place, nothing is for certain. All I can say is that I will be extremely pissed if I do not receive the promotion. I am more than capable of doing this job. The reason I was chosen to be the interim "lead" in the first place is because of how capable I am. Even more important than that, I want to do the job.

Blame the inner geek in me, but I often compare my job to how the 13 Court Guard Squads are set up in the Bleach anime. My current job title is pretty much the equivalent of being a Lieutenant (or Vice-Captain) of one of the 13 Squads. And the highly coveted "lead" position is the equivalent of becoming a Captain. Believe me when I tell you I am ready to become a Captain. I am an expert at Kido, and I have mastered Bankai. Hell, I even shit on Yoruichi with my Flash Step game. However, gaining a "Captain" position at my job is almost as difficult as becoming one in Bleach. Most of the time, you have to wait for one of the previous "Captains" to retire or die, and after that, you have to fight a number of "lieutenants" for the job. Sigh.

So in conclusion, I'm a geek and I really want the promotion. Like I said earlier, I'm going to be furious if I don't end up getting the job. Not furious enough to cuss out my supervisor or burn the building down, mind you. But furious enough to start looking for a new place of employment.

Now enjoy this clip of a bunch of Captains explaining how to become a Captain while trying to kill each other lol:

*Edit: I originally wrote this blog on July 19, 2015. It is now July 26, and I am pleased to report that I was given the promotion! Yeah baby!*

How the MMPR Reboot Can be a Good Thing

2016 promises to give us a Mighty Morphin Power Rangers reboot movie, and I couldn't be happier. Which is funny to me because when I was younger, I wasn't very fond of the idea of reboots or retcons. That's why I never took too kindly to seasons 3 and 4 of Digimon, and why even Power Rangers Ninja Storm irked me a bit when it first came out, due to it having a line of dialogue in the premiere that gave the impression that the previous PR seasons were only comic books.

This MMPR reboot movie doesn't irk me at all though. Mostly because Saban Brands will continue to create new seasons that are connected to the old continuity. However, it is also because this new movie may be an opportunity for us to get a more in-depth look at past PR plots.

The main thing I want to see is the backstory between Rita and Zordon fleshed out. The show never elaborated on the battles these two intergalactic sorcerers had 10,000 years ago. All we know is that Zordon sealed Rita and her minions in a space dumpster, and Rita somehow trapped Zordon in a timewarp. I believe that the old MMPR Fan Club VHS, and the pamphlet that comes with the MMPR Shoutfactory DVDs try to fill in the blanks by informing us that Zordon and Rita's battling went on for 2,000 years. They also note that many planets were destroyed in the process, and that in the end, a simple coin toss decided the victor between the two magic users. Now that's all very interesting and corny, but none of that shit was ever stated in the TV show.

I would love to actually see Rita and her armies duking it out against Zordon and his allies; see how vicious the battle between the two was, and see the end results of said battle with my own two eyes (not just hear it told to me in exposition). And I'd love to see how and when the Command Center was established on Earth. I feel like these scenes are a must for the upcoming film.

I really hope that this movie will be a huge success and that many, many sequel movies will be made. Seeing classic Power Rangers stories like the Evil Green Ranger and Lord Zedd's arrival re-imagined on the big screen would be fucking awesome. I mean, that goes without saying. But imagine if they did a movie based around the Millennium Message plot. I'd love to see what the future time period that Blue Senturion comes from looks like; a future where Lord Zedd and Rita, the Machine Empire, and Divatox rule supreme. Hell, adapting that plot could lead to a version of Countdown to Destruction that many fans always wanted. A version where all the ranger teams come together to fight the United Alliance of Evil.

Oh 2016 MMPR movie, please give me a morphinominal backstory regarding Zordon of Eltar and Empress Rita. And also, please come up with a reason for why Ms. Repulsa doesn't just kill the rangers in their sleep. I'd definitely appreciate it.

Then again, I remember reading somewhere that the movie is suppose to take place within the same continuity as the show. If that is true, then... I don't know what the fuck this movie is going to be about. Hmm...

Minority Opinion Alert: Judd Lynn's Return to Power Rangers

*Dusts off blog*

So it's been awhile since my last blog post. My goal was to write a new one at least once a month, but clearly that didn't go as planned. Oh well, let's talk Power Rangers.

More specially, let's talk about a topic that I should have blogged about MONTHS ago when the news of it first came out: Judd Lynn coming back to work on Dino Charge.

When we first heard the news, I did get a few comments from people asking me to make a video on it. Thing is... I really had nothing to say. Nothing good anyway. So Judd Lynn's coming back. Yes, he is a good writer, and he is responsible for some of my favorite seasons. And yeah, I'm sure he'll do a great job whipping Dino Charge into a decent season at the very least. But so what?

When I tell you that I don't care about Dino Charge, I mean it. You know what season I did care about? This 20th/21st anniversary season. So Saban Brands decides to hire a capable writer that has previously worked on PR before and has knowledge about how the show works and its lore. That's great. That's wonderful. WHY THE HELL DIDN'T THEY DO THIS FOR MEGAFORCE!

Why are they working hard to make sure that regular ass Dino Charge is a good season, but dropped the ball completely on Super Mega Flop?! I don't understand this. If there was any season to bring Judd Lynn back for, it was Megaforce. The big anniversary season that is in DESPERATE need of storytelling and character development. The big anniversary season that is one of the worst seasons I have ever seen.

I am beyond disappointed in Super Megaforce. The Gokaiger footage was handed to SB on a silver platter, and yet they completely squandered it. So many potential storylines could have been built off of that footage, but we got nothing. There is literally nothing going on in Super Mega Flop. In every episode the nameless Alien Armada attacks, and the rangers fight them for 20 minutes. Sometimes with powers never seen before on this planet! That's it.

The rangers have Super Mega Mode, but you can forget about getting any answers on where the hell Gosei got such power, or where the hell the 563649278789274 zords in his arsenal came from, or where the hell Gosei comes from, or where the hell these villains come from, or how the hell the Sixth Ranger Key ended up on Orion's dead planet, or what adversity Troy went through, or why the hell T-roy was psychic for two episodes, or why the hell I'm watching a 20th anniversary season where people have no idea what a damn Power Ranger is and have no knowledge of Countdown to Destruction. I just... what?!

Oh, but Judd Lynn will be back for Dino Charge, and that somehow makes up for the fact that the 21st anniversary season is a joke? No! Too little, too late. Super Megaforce is the season that SB should have called Judd Lynn back for. Maybe then the season would have had a name that isn't ridiculous, and we could have had interesting characters, and amazing plots, and callbacks to past seasons that actually make sense!

Look at all this negativity. This is why I didn't make a video when the news first broke. I was sick of being a Negative Nathan about a franchise that, as a whole, I still love very much. The good seasons still outweigh the bad in my book. It's just that we haven't had a good season in a loooong time. And the one season that should have NEVER been bad... turned out to be garbage.

I truly envy the fans that are still excited about SMF and future seasons. Wish I still shared your enthusiasm. When it comes to PR, the only thing I care about at the moment is the MMPR Reboot movie. Please let that be good. Please.

Super Megaforce: Spirit of the Tiger Episode Review

I hate Casey. I despise that character and the season he comes from. I wasn't thrilled that his season was one of the few chosen to receive a tribute episode. I wasn't thrilled that Saban Brands decided to bring Casey back to represent Jungle Fury instead of RJ, the actual fan favorite of that season. And I sure as hell wasn't thrilled that Casey had some lengthy screen time in this tribute episode, compared to Jayden last week, who was almost a "blink and you miss it" cameo.

Surprisingly though I didn't hate this episode. It was... so-so. It's a typical, average episode of Power Rangers that I would expect from Saban Brands. An episode that puts in the bare minimum of effort and does nothing really special. Well OK, maybe to some fans bringing Casey back is special. Fine... but that's not special to me though since I, you know, hate the character. *Shrugs*

The episode had the Megaforce rangers visiting a local zoo and looking at all the different animals held in captivity. At one point, the rangers made their way to the tiger den, and they saw a guy cleaning in there while standing near a tiger. The rangers were amazed that the guy would have the balls to clean so close to a tiger. Now while I agree that it does take some courage to stand anywhere near a freaking tiger, Noah took it too far with one of his comments. He said something similar to, "It's like he and the tiger are connected." Umm, that tiger was lying down minding his damn business. He didn't even pay attention to the skinny white dude moving dirty around in his den. How did they look like they were connected? Ugh, but that's nitpicking, so I'll move on. But hey, the guy cleaning the den was Casey! LOL TIGER BOY!!111!!

Later in the episode, Jake ends up walking with Emma in the park. Naturally they talk about Gia, and Jake tries to probe Emma for information. OK, here's the thing. I am sick to DEATH of scenes like this. I am tired of the writers bringing up Jake's crush and then doing NOTHING with it. It's been over a year now, and Jake has made zero progress with Gia. Why the hell hasn't he asked her out yet? This is TV. Something should have happened or progressed with this "relationship" by now.

Jake asked Emma if he really had a shot with Gia or not. He felt that since Emma is her best friend, she might have some insight on how Gia feels about him. Now if Emma actually had revealed some new information in this scene, then maybe I would have liked it. For instances, if Emma had said something like, "I think Gia does like you. She just has a hard time showing her true feelings to people. You're a good guy, just take a chance and ask her out", then I might be praising this scene like a bunch of PR fans are. But she didn't say shit to Jake. Jake asked her the question and she ignored it. She ignored it because she saw freaking Casey in the park and ran to speak with him. Ugh!

So Emma and no-pussy-getting Jake spoke with Casey for a bit, found out that he's a martial artist, thought that was cool, and then ran off to deal with a monster attack. After the Monster of the Day rendered the rangers' weapons useless, Emma and Jake decided that they should have Casey train them to be better fighters with their hands so that they don't have to depend on their weapons.

Casey agrees to train them, which then leads to him bringing up one of the few concepts from Jungle Fury I liked: the idea that everyone has an animal spirit inside of them. Casey also tells Jake that his spirit is the snake and tells Emma that hers is the phoenix. I loved that. He even had the two rangers sparring each other in the Snake and "Phoenix" techniques. Fucking awesome. And to those few PR fans that disliked that Emma's spirit animal was a phoenix because those animals don't exist... the fuck is wrong with you? This is Power Rangers. If dragons exist in this world, a phoenix can too. Plus, as any Jungle Fury fan will tell you, there was a fighter in that season that had the Phoenix spirit.

The end result of the two minute training that Emma and Jake endured was that they defeated the MoTD and unlocked the Jungle Fury Zords (I think that makes 1 trillion zords in their arsenal now). The five rangers went back to the zoo to thank Casey, but he was gone. And one of the workers there told the teens that no one named Casey worked there. OK, what? This is ridiculous. First Jayden disappearing like Batman on the rangers last week, and now this. Why so mysterious? This is unnecessary. And Casey knew the whole time he was training Jake and Emma that they were rangers, and he waited until the last possible second to tell them he knew... for no reason. Again I ask, why so mysterious? Why the secrecy? You are all rangers, stop playing stupid games.

And another question: why didn't Casey help fight? I've never heard of rangers who still have their powers not fighting. It's beyond ridiculous. If Adam took his ass out and fought with a fucked up morpher in In Space, then damnit, Jay Jay and Casey can use their perfectly functional powers and battle.

OH! One more thing. I completely forgot about this while I was writing. Freaking Troy. Alright, so the rangers struggled a bit in their first battle with the MoTD because he managed to take away their weapons. After that fight, Troy. Was. Pissed. He kept saying over and over again that a ranger must never let go of his weapon, and he yelled at his team when they told him he was overreacting. In one scene, Noah was trying to research past ranger weapons to find one that would be hard for the monster to take, and Troy snapped at him. "A ranger must never let go of his weapon. So we won't. Now shut your bitch ass up Noah!" OK, Troy didn't say that last part, but with his attitude, he might as well.

Seriously, where the hell did this anger come from? We all know that Troy doesn't even have a personality, so him getting so pissy-wissy over random monster stealing his weapon was so left field. If Troy was in season one, he would have been mad as shit at the rangers for losing their weapons to Pudgy Pig. Damn.

So yeah, it was an average episode. Nothing to praise in my book. Didn't even feel like recording a video review for this. I don't understand how some fans thought that this was the best episode out of the Saban Brands era so far, but whatever. Different opinions. So if anyone reads this longwinded review, let me know what you thought of the Jungle Fury tribute episode of Super Megaforce.

Random Thought: Power Rangers Super Megaforce Earth Fights Back

A few days ago I had a random thought about the second episode of Power Rangers Super Megaforce. It's not worth making a video over, but I didn't feel like doing multiple 140 character tweets on it either, so I decided to put it on my blog. I need to update this thing anyway.

So this was the episode where the Mega Rangers defeated the Monster of the Day with the Legendary SPD powers. While I was re-watching that fight online (a fan-edited version with the SPD theme song added in), I started thinking about how cool it would have been if the rangers had pulled out the SPD morpher and did the "Judgment Mode" thing on the monster before delivering the final blow. Troy could have said something like, "you are charged with trying to cause mass destruction, judgment!" Then the morpher would flash that giant red X on the monster to show that it is indeed guilty of such evil. After that, the monster would ask, "Are you going to arrest me now?" Then the rangers would respond with, "Nah, we're just going to destroy you. Delta Max, load! Fire!"

How messed up and hilarious would that have been? Yes? No? Well I laughed for a solid minute over the thought of it. If I'm laughing alone, that's cool. Just a random thought.

Bad boys, bad boys. What you gonna do? What you gonna do when they come for you?

These "Rules" People Have About Sex

So I was watching a video by Spoken Reasons where he talked about some chick that liked him and was desperate for the D. He said that they had eventually hooked up, but afterwards he had lost interest in her because she swallowed his babies...

Now at first I was thinking that he was disgusted by this because, in a world where STDs are running rampant, gulping down the sexual fluids of someone that you barely know is dangerous. But no. He was disgusted by it because he feels that a woman shouldn't swallow a man's cum until they have known each other for two years. Because apparently if a woman doesn't abide by this two year waiting period, she will not be respected by her mate.

Sigh... some men out here are just ignorant. Who the hell makes up these stupid rules? Men can't respect a woman who decided to be extra freaky in the bedroom before waiting a couple years? What lame ass men are these? Men should respect women if they have a great personality and treat their family and friends with love and generosity and just try to be a good person in general. Respect should not come from whether or not they decided to taste some protein before they were two years closer to death.

Really this is just the male ego at work. I know I can be jealous from time to time, but some dudes out here take the cake. "If she swallowed for me that soon, how many other men have she swallowed for?" Who cares?! What happened with previous sexual partners is none of your business. As long as she practices safe sex, and regularly gets STD tested (something ALL sexually active people should be doing), don't worry about it.

Society annoys the hell out of me with all the rules and double standards it has for women when it comes to sex. It annoys me even more that there are many women who co-sign the double standards. In 2014. I've seen so many popular male YouTubers who talk about the numerous women they've slept with, but then turn around and say shit like, "you gotta watch out for how many men your girl says she's slept with. If she says 3, multiply that by 5." Again, who cares?! Why does it matter how many she's slept with? As long as a person, guy or girl, is STD free and isn't cheating on their spouse, the number of previous sexual partners shouldn't really matter.

I find Spoken Reasons funny sometimes, but this isn't one of those times. Sex is an amazing thing. Can we stop shaming women out of enjoying it however they like?

Here's the video in case you were curious:

So Kabuto WASN'T a Badass?

The Naruto Shippuden anime is currently doing the Kabuto vs Uchiha Brothers fight. Now I barely paid attention to this fight in the manga, so a lot of what I'm seeing in it is new to me. So when it was revealed that the reason Kabuto had turned himself into an even bigger freak than Orochimaru was because he felt that he had no talent, I was very shocked.

Kabuto has no talent? Really? Let's take a trip down memory lane, shall we. I remember when I was younger and was watching the original Naruto series. Back then, there weren't 8048302 badass Jounin-level characters like there are now. At that point, the baddest ninja in the show was pretty much Kakashi. So when Kabuto showed up on the scene, and killed multiple ANBU members in 2 seconds and actually proved to be a challenge to Kakashi, I was hyped. Anyone who can throw Kakashi off his game isn't someone to be taken lightly.

Then later on in the show, Kabuto fought one of the legendary Sannin and did very well against her. And I'm a Tsunade fanboy; I'm not a part of the "she's a weak bitch" crowd, so I view Kabuto holding up against her as an incredible feat. Also, during that fight, Tsunade commented on how great Kabuto's medical skills were and that she was "never that quick or precise, even in her prime". The guy weakened her super strength, and when Tsunade temporarily fucked up his brain synapses so that his muscle controls were all scrambled, Kabuto, in the span of a minute, learned all the new ways his body moved so that he could keep fighting. In. A. Minute.

So Kabuto could have went toe to toe with Kakashi if he had to, and he held his own against a SANNIN, but he has no talent. WTF. And he handled Yamato (an experienced Jounin), Naruto, and Sakura at the same time in the early Shippuden episodes. But he has no talent. Come on now.

You know, maybe this shows how crazy and broken Kabuto really is. Putting Kabuto's tragic backstory into perspective, the fact that he couldn't see how skilled he was, and he felt that he had to steal the abilities from other people to be great is really sad. Embrace your own identity sir. You are Kabuto Yakushi, a skilled shinobi and Orochimaru's bitch boy. Own that shit.

Does the Good Outweigh the Bad?

I never like admitting my flaws, but we all have them. Nobody's perfect. Missy Elliot told me that.

So one of my negative traits is that I have a tendency to complain a lot. Now I do believe that talking about what troubles you is healthy and all, but I tend to harp on the same shit over and over again. I'm currently doing this right now with an issue I'm having, so I decided to write this post.

Don't worry folks, I'm not about to bitch about my issues. Actually, this post is to remind myself of how blessed I am. I really forget this sometimes and I shouldn't. So instead of constantly focusing on the negative, I'm going to take a moment to focus on some of the positives in my life. I'm so fortunate to have the loving family that I do, and the few good friends that I do. I'm fortunate to have a job in this economy, and I'm fortunate to have a roof over my head and food to eat. I'm fortunate to have a love life that's slowly getting back on track. And I'm fortunate that I have an audience on YouTube. I really love vlogging (hell I wish it was my real job), and I'm so glad that there are people who enjoy watching my videos. Now I may be a small YouTuber, but whenever I see comments from people saying that they don't ever want me to stop vlogging, I feel so grateful. It really is the most humbling shit ever.

So while I am still feeling down about my current predicament, I really need to remember all the good things I still have in my life. Seriously, my life could be so much worse.

Things Are Looking Up

Back in July, I wrote my first blog post. It was about me being crazy depressed about graduating college and not being able to find a job. It was really difficult for me to write, and I still can't believe I made it public. Well I'm happy to report that my prayers have finally, FINALLY been answered. *Does the Happy Fish Dance*

It's like my mom says: He may not come when you want Him, but He'll be there right on time. I could have used Him a little sooner when my bank account was happier, but I am not about to look a gift horse in the mouth. Especially right now. I tell you, so much stress has been lifted off of my shoulders.

My job is in the legal field, and I have dreamed for the longest time of having a career in government. I am super excited for this job; I just hope that I don't do anything to screw it up... But considering how long it took me to catch a break, I am NOT about to mess up now. Believe it!

P.S. I just wanted to say thank you to my family and my friends who knew about the stress I was going through and prayed and cheered me on every step of the way.

Being Open, Being Real, Being Me

For Power Rangers' 20th birthday, I made a video celebrating it. And in said video, I stated that, "I am not ashamed to be a Power Rangers fan".

Well thinking about it now, I wonder how true that is. Don't get me wrong, I love the show, and I have been making YouTube videos discussing various aspects of it for two years now. These videos are public and on the internet, so clearly there is a part of me that doesn't give a fuck who knows.

However... if I truly didn't care who knows, why is it that I don't tell too many people in my real life that I like PR? I can count on my fingers the number of friends and family that are aware of my love of PR, my YouTube channel, my Twitter, my Instagram, and my Blog. Why is that? Am I that worried about how they will react? Eh, maybe. I think I'd feel weird knowing that they are watching me and seeing just how geeky I can really be. And you know I can be really geeky. Plus I don't want them saying my real name on my channel. That's something I want to keep private.

But the older I get, the less fucks I have to give about many things. If I want to make real and strong friendships, then I need to start being more open with people. Yes, I like geeky things. I like PR. I like anime. I know way too much about both PR and Naruto. Deal with it!

Believe it or not, I am a private person by nature, so I'm not opening up about everything in my life. Only a chosen few ever get that close to me, and I pretty much have those positions filled (Sup guys). However, I can tell people I like PR. I can tell people I vlog about the show on YouTube. Who cares? If they do, then I shouldn't be fucking with them anyway.

My Power Rangers Season Idea

I guess today I felt like stepping into fanfiction territory. Well kinda. This idea randomly popped into my head today, and it's something that I actually wouldn't mind seeing in a Power Rangers season. So if yours truly were to ever be in charge of writing for PR (it'll never freaking happen), this is what I'd want to create. And yes, I know that Super Sentai limits a lot of things that PR can do, but let's just pretend that this is a perfect world and PR can do whatever it wants.

Alright, here's my idea. This would be a three man team, two guys and one girl, and they would be aliens. Yup, more alien rangers. Earthlings can't get all the power. Anyway, these rangers (Red, Blue, and Yellow) would be in charge of protecting their home world. However, one day their planet was invaded by an evil alien empire. The rangers fought their hardest against the threat, but the evil empire proved to be too powerful. Not only were the rangers defeated, but their entire planet was destroyed. Gasp!

At first, I actually thought that destroying a whole planet might be a little much for Power Rangers, fanfiction or not. But then I remembered that PR has done similar storylines before. In the beginning of SPD, Grumm destroyed a planet, and later on we learned that Grumm invaded Doggie's home planet and killed his entire race. Not to mention RPM and its whole apocalypse thing.

Back to the story. So after this, the evil empire (let's just call them The Dark Ones) turns its attention to Earth. The Dark Ones feel that it would be a worthy challenge to conquer a planet that has proven to be unconquerable for so many years. The three rangers are saddened and angry over their fallen planet and swear to not let such a thing happen ever again. So these three haul ass to Earth to protect it.

Once the rangers arrive on Earth, they set up a base there and fight off The Dark Ones as they send down one monster at a time to face our heroes (can't mess with tradition). Hell let's give them a robot assistant too just for shits and giggles.

While livng on Earth, the rangers try their best to learn Earth's customs, which leads to many wacky moments. It'll be soooooo funny you guys. >_> Eventually one of the guy rangers, most likely Red, will meet an Earth woman and fall in love. The two date and soon the woman discovers that he's a ranger. After learning such a great secret, she decides that she wants to be a ranger too and fight beside her beloved. The Red Ranger is adamantly against this, but the woman gains access to the rangers' alien technology and makes her own damn morpher and joins the fight! Yeah, she's Billy-level smart. Convenient right? The Red Ranger, after seeing how well his girlfriend does in battle, lets her join the team with no protest. I'm thinking she would be the White Ranger.

Also, as the story progresses, the rangers will come face to face against an evil ranger. This evil bastard will have been a former teammate who betrayed his comrades to join The Dark Ones. Furthermore, this evil ranger (let's make him a Gold Ranger) will not be under any spell, and he will not turn good by the end of the story. Yep, for once the evil ranger stays evil. Always wanted to see a story like that in PR (don't mention A Squad to me...).

And somewhere along the way, I guess they'll gain another ranger (Black). We've never had a four man ranger team before, and it just looks weird in my head, so let's just throw an extra one in here. He could have been a part of the team back in the day when there was Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, and Black. Before The Dark Ones attacked the rangers' home planet, the Gold Ranger had led Black somewhere private and "killed" him. But shock of all shock, Black survived. He was hurt for quite some time, but now he's back to 100% and ready for some payback!

So there it is. This is pretty much all I came up with so far. Like I said, it was just a random thought I had, and I decided to blog about. So if anyone happens to read this, leave me a comment telling me what kind of PR story or theme you would want to see in the show.

Ja mata!  γ˜γ‚ƒγΎγŸ.

I Miss You Neko-chan

On June 25, 2013, Ryo-Ohki, my youngest cat, passed away. It's been a little over a month since he died, and I still can't believe he's gone. I was around 10 years old when I first got him, and he had been in my life for 12 years. I remember when he used to be so tiny I could hold him in one hand, and I remember when he grew up to be a gigantic beast.

I loved that cat.

No. I love that cat. My oldest cat Ken-Ohki (if you know where I got the names for my cats, we can be friends) is still alive, which I am grateful for. However, after Ryo-Ohki's death, Ken-Ohki has become incredibly clingy. I mean, he wants to be around me constantly.

You have to understand that my cat was NEVER the clingy type. He has always been playful, but he was never in your face 24/7 like he is now. He usually kept to himself a lot, handling his cat business, and really only bothered me when he wanted something, i.e. food. But since Ryo died, he is always near. Sleeping in my bed for hours, following me all around the house, and he never shuts up. Oh my LORD, he never shuts up. Meow, meow, meow, meow, fucking meow.

I love him, but daddy needs a break sometimes. Sadly, I feel that he's just lonely now. He and Ryo were together for years and now it's only him. Funny thing is, I originally got/begged-my-mom-for Ryo because I was worried that Ken-Ohki was lonely during the hours that I was at school and my mom was at work.

Sigh. Regardless of the complaining, I'm not looking forward to the day that I have to say goodbye to Ken-Ohki too. I don't think I'll ever get anymore pets again. They don't live as long as humans, and it hurts when your child dies before you do.

Super Megaforce Plots That Will Never Be

Oh Super Duper Megaforce. So much potential, but I don't expect much from you at the moment. Power Rangers has such a rich history that is just waiting to be tapped into, but honestly I don't think this season will. At least, I don't think it will at the level that it should. Remember, this is the 20TH ANNIVERSARY season where people don't know what a Power Ranger is or that aliens fucking exist... Lawd Geezus...

Now Super Megaforce may surprise me and turn out to be very good. I mean, Megaforce is... decent so far and is LEAGUES ahead of Samurai. However, that still doesn't change the fact that there are many things that I KNOW the writers won't do in this season. Things that I would have loved to see. And that's what this blog post is about. I'm going to list some of the things that I think would have been cool to see in Super Megaforce. Oh the fangasms that will never be.

1. Tommy and Kat Married:
I'm still pissed that we're not getting a Mighty Morphin tribute episode with most of the MMPR people. But I get it. It was too expensive for a multimillion dollar company to bring them back. Fair enough. However, for me it would have been cool to at least see Tommy and Kat appear for an episode together and be married. That silly christmas episode from Zeo hinted that they'd end up together. It would be a nice and simple way to build on the show's history.

2. Billy:
There's so much that could've been done if they brought back old Billy boy. Last time we saw him, he decided to stay on Aquitar so that he could fuck around with some fish lady. A tribute episode could've led to some focus on the Aquitian rangers as well as Billy. Two birds with one stone! I'm very curious about what's going on with William these days. Is he married? Does he have kids? If so, are they Power Rangers? Maybe have Billy show up on Earth to give the Megaforce rangers a new weapon. Or perhaps the villains want to kidnap Billy and use his incredible genius for their own evil purposes, and the Megaforce teens have to save him. Hell thinking about it, Billy probably should've been the mentor for this season...

3.Gosei's backstory:
Let's be honest. They are not going to explain where the hell Gosei comes from or how he ended up on Earth. I tried to have faith that they would but... they won't. They barely focus on him in the episodes now. He's just this giant, tiki looking plot hole, and the writers are content with that. "Oh, let's just say Zordon placed him on Earth. Those old, crusty fans will love that." NO! I don't love that. Not if you're not going to explain when Zordon did this. But even if they do explain it, will they do so in a way that makes sense? The only time Zordon could have ever "placed" Gosei on Earth was during Turbo. Gosei could not have been on Earth during MMPR, otherwise Zordon should have contacted him for help during the 908904839 crises that happened during that time. Do the writers know that though? Doubt it.

And I'm not even touching that fact that Gosei missed multiple alien/demon/mutant attacks before finally waking his ass up from his deep sleep. Sigh why couldn't he just have been a friend of Zordon's from Eltar who decided to come to Earth this year to help the humans fight against an upcoming threat? Hell, why did the Megaforce rangers need a mentor anyway? It's not like Gosei has done a lot so far. Why not just have the Morphin Grid act on its own and pick some rangers. If it can talk to Kira and Ethan and show them the future, it can pick some rangers.

4. Troy's Visions:
Oh Troy. This guy has got to be the blandest red ranger we have evah had. The writers do nothing interesting with him, and all his character interactions suck. But he can see da fewchaa! Why, we don't know, but I'm curious to find out. Too bad we probably never will.

Power Rangers fan Fury Diamond, who seems to be in the know about a lot of behind the scenes stuff with PR, stated that the writers originally had a plan to explain why Troy can see the future in his dreams... but this plan was later scrapped. Ugh. So they have time to shove a shitty music episode in Megaforce at the last minute, but they can't be bothered to explain why Troy is clairvoyant?  We still know nothing about this walking mannequin other than he's the red ranger. Seeing a story arc explaining his visions could have been cool. Oh well...

5. Referencing Countdown to Destruction:
This is on the list because I'm just tired of this not being brought up. This was the most important war in Power Rangers history, and it's NEVER brought up (except for in Lost Galaxy because LG is awesome). The villains conquered Earth. Hell, they conquered the universe. The rangers should be reading about it in their history class.

If any season should bring C2D up, it's this one. But it won't. *Cries thug tears* T_T

6. Jake and Gia Dating:
Ok, this one may actually happen. At least I hope it does. I want to see these two become a couple and date a couple times in the show. That could be fun and it could lead to lots of wacky antics. Buuuut I'm not getting my hopes up. Power Rangers has a bad track record with romance these days. If Jake and Gia never date and only end up together during the last scene in the finale, I will scream.

I want these two crazy kids to be the new Zack and Angela. Let them date!

I'm sure there's more, but I'm done with this list for now. So listen. I'm going to be fair and not judge Super Megaforce for not doing everything I want it to do because they do only have 20 episodes to work with next year. They have to balance focus on the current team of rangers with tributes to the past seasons. That can't be easy. So really, I just want to be entertained. Just do that, and I won't bitch (too much).

Nevertheless, I will always think about what could have been. If Power Rangers could have had a 40+ episode adaptation of Gokaiger, imagine the possibilites. Under capable writers who know the Power Rangers lore, we really could've had something great.

P.S. Check out when I did this for Power Rangers Supah Samurai.

Sakura... This is Your Last Chance.

I consider myself a Naruto fan. If you have been to my YouTube channel, you may have seen my karaoke-level covers of a couple of its theme songs. You might have to navigate through a lot of Power Rangers videos, but damn it, they are there lol

I started watching it during my teen years, and I now read the manga. And while I consider the original Naruto series to be waaaaaaay better than it's sequel, Naruto Shippuden still has entertaining and moving moments in it.

Now a couple of years ago, I made a video titled "Naruto Rant: Are Female Ninjas Worthless?"

As you may have gathered, this video was about how the kunoichi of Naruto don't really do much compared to the male ninjas. It's cool that some of them are masters at healing, but I watch/read Naruto to see muthafuckas break people's spines, not to see them play doctor.

So this brings me to Sakura. I used to like Sakura back in the day. She was weak, and she knew it, but she wanted to change that and get better. However, YEARS have passed since she made a promise to herself to become a great ninja... and this bitch has the nerve to still suck. Oh, but she's super strong now. Ok cool, but what good is that if she NEVER hits anyone with it. At least my girl Tsunade landed some hits.

In the manga, there is currently a big ninja war going on. Spoilers ahead if you don't read the manga. Right now, Sasuke has decided to fight with Naruto against the enemy. As these two were about to fight, Sakura jumped her ass over next to them and declared that she was on their level, saying Tsunade trains her disciples as good as the other Sannin and that she's not just a weak woman. HAHAHA!

Ok, look. Seeing Team 7 together again was AMAZING. The nostalgia slapped the shit out of me, and it felt so good. And when those three used the summoning jutsu together, I almost died and saw King Jesus. However, Miss Sakura implied that she was on the level of Naruto and Sasuke. Ok, show me. Show me why you're on their level. All she has done so far is smash a bunch of grunts and summon a snail. I want MORE.

Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura summoned their animals, and I (silly me) thought that Sakura was going to be fighting with her team. Nope! She goes to heal people. OMG. Are you serious right now?! Go fight! Fuck those nobody ninjas; nobody wants to see you healing them. Show us how much you've grown. Go super punch the Ten Tails in the face like a bad bitch. Something, ANYTHING but healing.

Sigh. I will say this though: this war isn't over yet. Sakura still has time to do something significant.

At the end of the current chapter (Chapter 639), Obito has grabbed Naruto and Sasuke. This right here is an opportunity for Sakura to shine. In Chapter 640, she BETTER be the one that saves them. If not, well then she better do something incredible in the fight. This is Sakura's last chance to prove to everyone that she is a great ninja. That she is on Naruto and Sasuke's level (well close to it at least). If she does nothing else in this war, I am done with her. Stop focusing on her and feeding us bullshit dialogue if you're not really going to have her do anything Kishimoto.
